Saturday morning we left Des Moines. Girls went to the pool to swim first (it opened at 11am), but they bagged that idea. Too many people in the pool.
The drive to Kearney, NE was HOT! Temp outside = 96 degrees; inside the RV = 89 degrees. The AC just could not keep up. We stopped to get groceries along the way so did not pull into Kearney until 6:30pm.
David suggested we drive straight to the movie theater. We pulled in and found some shade. Cooked up some quick steak and potatoes, then headed into the theater to see the final Harry Potter movie. The theater was nice and cool. While we were gone, the RV temp cooled down to 78 degrees :)!
We headed for Walmart 4 miles away to dock for the night. After several attempts to find a level spot in the parking lot we finally set camp. Then to do a little more shopping for things on the grocery list we had not found elsewhere. In bed at 12pm. Loooooooong day!
